How do I get a managers job without experience?

I%26#039;m sick of looking for a job the old fashion way. I want to get a job as a manager of a resturaunt here but i have no manager experience. I%26#039;ve worked in resturaunts for a long time now and i%26#039;m sure i could do it. No one will give me a chance. Should i lie on an application to get the job?|||That happend to me in Retail. Get your foot in the door and prove yourself I mean learn all that you can and try to see if you can be a manager on dutie when they are there so they can see that you can do it Good luck a LITTLE white lie may never hurt.|||Lying on your application will more than likely come back to haunt you. And what about your own integrity? Would you want to work for a manager who is a liar? Experience accounts for something. You can%26#039;t just start at the top. Get a job in a restaurant and EARN the manager%26#039;s position. It usually goes through stages, assistant manager first, and when you prove yourself there, then on to management training.|||Your error is this: %26quot;I%26#039;ve worked in resturaunts for a long time now%26quot; %26lt;----Sounds like experience to me. Work on that angle, take a small business course at your local community college, then apply everywhere.|||get a job in resturant field, be ever so helpful no matter what, make yourself indispensible, show them you could handle more responsibilities. you must earn their trust first. nobody gets a manager position without some skill level.|||Start with a small restaurant as manager or assistant mgr (sometimes when you work at a place that%26#039;s managed by the owner they%26#039;ll let you call yourself the manager so then on your next resume... ding!)... that%26#039;s how I did it... then the next place bigger or wait until you r mgr of a small place by outlasting everyone and working yourself to the bone, then start working up in rest. size... I don%26#039;t know about your education, but classes in mgmt, marketing and accounting help. There are certain places that have mgr. training programs, as well, like Pizza Hut, KFC, MCDUCK%26#039;S, many of the chain stores... You apply for those and then in a while you have your own store (small one) and your foot in the door of a larger corporation... good luck.|||Get your friends to give their numbers as references... lie... make forged documents... But do expect to find yourself asking questions on management on this site...
