Wildlife biology is a multi-disciplinary approach to the study of wild animals and their habitats. Research and technical investigations are performed by scientists educated in wildlife biology, zoology, botany, chemistry, mathematics, or various combinations of these disciplines. Their official professional career title is %26quot;Wildlife Biologist.%26quot;

To be honest... you can major in something closely related and then later specialize in a field you prefer such as endangered species and conservation.

There are soo many terms, too many to name. So many different ways to branch in college with a field such as wildlife bio.

You might want to look into summer internships in Alaska. It would be a great experience for someone looking to go to college for a specific field. It would be great on a resume and also give you a really great idea about what its like to do that sort of work (that way you dont spend 4 years going to school only to find out its not what you want to do)

My advice when it comes to college is this.....

Enroll and take your core classes first. Get to know the professors in the biology department and check into the courses offered. Talking to the Department head is always a really good idea . He/She can give you direction and guidance on how to reach your ultimate goal.

Dont know how old you are, but if youre going soon, you can always make an early trip to campus, introduce yourself, network a bit. It seems to make the transition a lot easier.

Another piece of advice... DO NOT take chem your first semester unless youre just a wiz, hahha

Good luck Kiddo....feel free to email me with any more questions!!!|||work at the Humane Society or WWF. if u do not know what i am talking about, go to humanesociety.org or wwf.org. you can also sign petitions at protectseals.org to save seals from the evil Canadian seal hunt. when you visit the site for the humane society, you can sign petitions there, too. if you go to WWF you can adopt an endangered animal to save it. also on care2.org you can click once a day on different subjects to convince the government that it is a big problem, such as global warming.

*Ur welcome!|||zoologist- animals. just specialize in endangered animals.
